The Downers Grove Village Council held its regular meeting on Dec. 8
Following routine housekeeping duties and public comments, the council approved an extension of an elevator-inspection contract (Thompson Elevator Inspection Service Inc.), two ambulances (Currie Motors) and a police vehicle (Morrow Brothers Ford).
The council also approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Downers Grove Park District for maintenance/repairs.
The council also approved the issuance of a scavenger license to Allied Waste Services of North America LLC and approved the 2015 Aggregate Tax Levy ordinance.
The council also heard reports from the village mayor, city manager, city attorney and council members.
