Wheaton City Manager Donald Rose recently informed the Mayor’s Office that he will retire effective April 30, 2016.

Rose has held the position for over 35 years, taking over for William Kirchoff, who resigned in October 1980 to become the city manager of  Lakewood, Colorado. Prior to that appointment, he served as the assistant city manager for six years.

Next week, the Wheaton City Council will consider appointing Assistant City Manager Michael Dzugan  to the position of city manager, effective May 1, 2016. Dzugan has held his current position for over 24 years. Prior to Wheaton, Dzugan was assistant city manager in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
