Along with support from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, DuPage County has a development project in place to create a plan for assessing and improving conditions and facilities for biking and walking in the areas surrounding the Elgin-O’Hare Expressway.
A public open house has been scheduled for Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Itasca Recreation Center, 350 E. Irving Park Road, so that interested residents can learn about the project and provide their input.
There will be a brief presentation at 5:30 that will be repeated at 6:30. The public can also learn about the project and share ideas online by visiting www.eohbikepedplan.com.
