Itasca begins sidewalk, curb replacement project

Itasca

The sidewalk-replacement project in Itasca began on Wednesday.

The Itasca Public Works Department will restore sidewalks and curbs in front of several  Itasca homes, which have been marked as construction zones. The project is expected to take seven days.

The Itasca Public Works Department remains concerned about the overall preservation of each resident’s property. Any homeowners with privately owned utilities, such as irrigation systems or electrical annexes, residing within the Village right-of-way, notify the Public Works Department prior to 7 a.m. on the day the work is scheduled for that property.

If the sidewalk crossing your driveway is marked for replacement, you will need to park your vehicle(s) on the street. To avoid getting any tickets, notify the Itasca Police Department at 630-773-1004 if your vehicle(s) will be parked overnight on the street.

If you have any additional questions regarding the project, please contact John Heimburger or Ross Hitchcock, director of Public Works, at 630-773-2455.
