Wheaton bicycle subcommittee meeting tonight at City Hall

The Wheaton Bicycle Advisory Committee Subcommittee of the Environmental Improvement Commission is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today.

The meeting will be held at the Wheaton City Hall Building, Conley Room, 303 W. Wesley St.

The agenda will consist of approval of minutes, the October Walk/Bike to School Police Bike Project Update, Illinois Prairie Path 2016 and recruiting new committee members.

The committee is composed of volunteers established to help advise on the implementation of the Wheaton bicycle plan, which aims to improve the environment by reducing vehicle traffic. The committee also promotes safe bicycling in Wheaton, bicycling events, safety education and bike-friendly facilities.
