The St. Charles Police Department, along with two underage special agents, conducted liquor compliance checks at 21 area businesses on Sept. 2.
The special agents, ages 19 and 20, were trained in compliance inspection policies, procedures and safety measures by department representatives before the inspections, and were closely monitored throughout the inspections.
All the inspected businesses were found to be in compliance.
"We are pleased to see that the businesses inspected were in full compliance, and want to thank them all for their vigilance and continued support,” Rogina said.
Congratulatory letters of compliance from St. Charles Mayor Ray Rogina, who is also liquor commissioner for the city, will be delivered to all businesses subject to the inspection.
"The city works hard to maintain a safe, enjoyable environment for residents and visitors,” St. Charles Police Chief James Keegan added. “Part of that is making sure businesses that serve alcohol operate responsibly through consistent compliance checks and enforcement.”
