Long-term lane closures on Oakton Street in Elk Grove Village are scheduled to begin this month.
On Oakton Street, the right westbound lane is scheduled to close Sept. 7 through the fall for bridge construction. Two eastbound lanes will remain open to traffic; however, the right eastbound lane will close daily between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The closures are due to work to rebuild the bridges carrying Interstate 90 over local roads. The work is part of the I-90 rebuilding and widening project scheduled to be complete in 2016.
