DuPage County Workforce Development Week is underway.
The DuPage County Workforce Development Week kicked off on Monday.
The week focuses on the successes of individuals and businesses who participated in programs provided by the DuPage County Workforce Development Division (WDD).
The DuPage County Workforce Development Division, located at the workNet DuPage Career Center, is funded through the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and provides an extensive range of services to both job seekers and employers.
"The Workforce Development Division is a vital piece of our economic development strategy in the county," County Board Chairman Dan Cronin said. "This service provides a valuable connection between the people who are looking for work and the business owners who need to fill positions in their companies. Our success stories are proof that DuPage's approach is an example for the rest of the state."
Job seeker services include scholarships for job training programs, job search workshops, career counseling and a job search resource center. Employer services include workforce training grants, a resume database, free job posting and assistance for displaced workers.
DuPage County is located at 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton.
