State Sen. Mike Connelly (R-IL) and state Rep. Grant Wehrli (R-IL) will host a Children’s Safety Expo in on Aug. 22 in Naperville.
The expo will be held at the Frontier Sports Complex, 3380 Cedar Glade Drive from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The event is free and geared toward a younger audience. Children will be able to participate in several kid-friendly events including “Touch a Truck," the "Traveling World of Reptiles" show at 10:30 a.m. and multiple area first-responder displays. A face-painting booth will also be available.
Expo participants include ComEd, CPR, Naperville Police Department, DuPage Children’s Museum, DuPage County Circuit Court Clerk, DuPage County Crime Stoppers, DuPage County Health Department, DuPage County Highway Department, DuPage County Office of Homeland Security, DuPage County Regional Office of Education, DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, Edward Jones, Elite Sports Complex, Hruska Insurance, Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Life Span, Illinois Secretary of State Police, Juice Plus, Lifestar Chicago, Office of the Illinois Attorney General, Office of the Illinois Comptroller, Office of the Illinois Treasurer, Office of the Illinois Secretary of State, PACE, Sparkles Entertainment, Traveling World of Reptiles and several other area agencies.
