The Lombard Police Department will hold its National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
The event features free swimming at Paradise Bay Water Park; police, fire and safety displays and demonstrations; the Lombard mobile command vehicle; McGruff the Crime Dog; deejay games and prizes; and giveaways and light refreshments.
The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on the west side of Paradise Bay Water Park at Lombard Common Park, 437 E. St. Charles Road.
“We enjoy spending time with the community and giving our residents the opportunity to learn more about their police and fire departments,” Sgt. Will Mitchell said. “It gives everyone a chance to get to know Lombard’s first responders, and to see that we are approachable.”
