Woodbridge accepting applications for police pension board, plan commission vacancies

The village of Woodbridge is accepting applications for vacancies on the police pension board and plan commission.

The police pension board manages an investment portfolio valued at $32 million for the Woodbridge Police Department. The board also reviews applications to participate in and retire from the pension fund.

Plan commission duties include guiding neighborhood and community redevelopment, civic design, land use policy and management strategies; reviewing and making recommendations on development related requests, including applications for zoning map amendment, Comprehensive Plan amendment, special use permit, subdivision plat, site plan, Planned Unit Development plan and plat and Regional Planned Unit Development plan and plat; reviewing and making recommendations for specific improvements in pursuance of the Comprehensive Plan; and reviewing and making recommendations on requests for building or zoning variations and appeals on building and zoning decisions.

Woodbridge residents interested in being considered for either appointment should submit a letter of interest and resume to Mayor Gina Cunningham, Village of Woodridge, 5 Plaza Drive, Woodridge, IL 60517. Applicants are reminded to submit letters and resumes promptly as the village board will be interviewing residents as materials are received.
