The Village of Lombard has appointed members to its Pride Committee. | Village of Lombard
A number of Lombard residents were recently appointed to the new Lombard Pride Committee by the village board.
The committee will help advise the board on matters relating to special events and community festivals.
Residents appointed to the pride committee include: Ellen Bachner, Brittney Conway, Bob Difino, Jenelle Hardtke, Jeffrey Lenz, Melidssa Schmitz, Dave Kundrot for the Lombard Park District and Yvonne Invergo for the Lombard Chamber of Commerce. The youth/student member will be Dana Schwiewe.
“We received an excellent response to our call for applications,” Village President and Committee Chair Keith Giagnorio said. “The members appointed to this committee form a diverse collection of Lombardians offering unique points of view and firsthand experience with event planning, project management, fundraising and past Lombard events from a community perspective. We look forward to their successful collaboration and recommendations regarding the future of Lombard’s community events.”
Lombard received 22 applications from individuals interested in serving on the new committee.
The committee will hold its first meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the village hall.
