South Side Drainage Improvement Project to begin next Monday in Itasca

Itasca

The Village of Itasca South Side Drainage Improvement Project is set to begin Monday, June 22.

The project consists of installing a new, large-size sewer main in the roadway, with manholes and drainage structures, asphalt patching and landscaping.

The project will affect the areas of Rush from George to Washington, and on Washington from Rush to Walnut Ave.

Also, the project includes School/Park District property behind homes on the east side of Elm Street from Washington Street, north approximately 700 feet to the low area between the baseball diamonds.

The project is expected to be completed by mid-August, weather permitting.

The village selected Copenhaver Construction Inc. from Gilberts, Illinois, for the project. Their bid came in at $862,555.
