After recently requesting that the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) investigate allegations that the College of DuPage inflated its enrollment numbers, State Rep. Jeanne Ives learned that the board is already looking into the matter.

“I applaud the Illinois Community College Board for reacting quickly to these accusations," she said. "We hope their investigation gets to the bottom of this; and if true, clearly points out who is responsible so we can hold them accountable. We expect honest, transparent public service.”

The Dupage County State's Attorney Office has also begun another investigation into the alleged illegal spending of taxpayer money at the college.

“I applaud our state’s attorney for taking the lead to get to the bottom of how public money was spent at the College of DuPage and await his determination as to whether any illegal activity occurred," Ives said.

The ICCB recently requested a $1.7 million payback from John A. Logan College for miscounting credit hours.
