Johanna Walker | DuPage Convention and Visitors Bureau
Johanna Walker recently joined the DuPage Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) as a sales manager for the military reunion, nonprofit, and religious and faith-based markets.
Walker will focus her efforts on marketing DuPage County as a sought-out destination, and assisting her assigned markets in planning and conducting meetings, events and tours.
The bureau hopes to increase hotel stays and tax revenues with the addition of Walker.
"We are excited to have Johanna on board,” DuPage CVB Executive Director Beth Marchetti said. "She brings strong skills and experience that she can utilize to communicate with our members, promote DuPage County and, most importantly, bring new groups to the area to drive revenue for the county."
Walker's past experience includes working in sales at various Marriott properties in Atlanta and Chicago.
She holds a certification in government sales and received her sales training through Marriott International, Inc.
Walker will report to Lisa Landers, director of sales at the bureau.
