State Senator Seth Lewis, a Republican representing Illinois’ 24th Senate District, is working with the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) to offer a free session aimed at helping residents lower their gas and electric bills. The event will take place on December 4 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Wheaton City Hall, located at 303 W. Wesley Street in Wheaton.

During the session, attendees can meet individually with a CUB counselor for a personalized review of their energy bills. Participants are encouraged to bring their most recent utility bills for this analysis. Registration is required for the event; walk-in visitors will not be accommodated.

The clinic will provide information about solar and electrification programs, rebates, strategies for reducing energy costs through efficiency programs and do-it-yourself solutions, identifying unnecessary charges on utility bills, and income-qualified financial assistance options.

“As utility bill costs continue to climb, I hear regularly from people who are having a hard time paying these bills, so I’m glad to offer this important community outreach and educational program,” said Lewis. “Having an opportunity to meet individually with a CUB expert will allow every resident to ensure they are not paying one cent more than is necessary for gas and electricity service.”

Lewis was elected in 2023 to represent the district after succeeding former senator Suzy Glowiak.

For more information about the event, individuals can contact Senator Lewis’ office by phone or email.
