In an effort to assist Illinois residents with professional licensing issues, State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) is co-hosting an event in Carol Stream on July 23. The event will feature the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR) On the Road team.

Senator Lewis explained, “We receive a great many calls in our offices from individuals who are trying to either obtain a professional license, renew it, or transfer a license from another state.” He added that the event allows individuals to meet one-on-one with an IDFPR counselor for personalized assistance.

The IDFPR On the Road event will take place at Fountain View Recreation Center, located at 910 N. Gary Avenue, Carol Stream, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Registration is required and can be completed through Senator Lewis’ website.

“We expect a large turnout for this event and would encourage those wishing to take advantage of this counseling service to RSVP right away,” said Lewis. His district office staff will also be present to help attendees with other state agency-related issues.

For more information about the event, contact Senator Lewis’ district office at (630) 349-0645 or email Abby at amccarthy@sgop.ilga.gov.
