State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro, who represents the Hanover Park area, has announced a paid summer internship program aimed at high school and college students, as well as young adults. The initiative offers an opportunity for participants to explore state government operations and public service.
The internship is scheduled to run from June 2 through August 15. It offers an hourly wage of $17.50 and focuses on providing practical experience in various legislative activities. Interns will be involved in drafting legislation, participating in community events, collaborating with local organizations, and handling constituent correspondence and casework. The program is designed to enhance leadership and communication skills while providing an in-depth understanding of state government functions.
Rep. Sanalitro emphasized the educational and community-serving benefits of the internship, stating, “This internship is a great opportunity for young people to learn how our government works while gaining real-world experience and giving back to their community.”
