Regular gas was sold at the lowest price of $2.57 per gallon at one gas station in DuPage County during the week ending Feb. 28, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Reported prices for regular gas in DuPage County averaged $3.02 per gallon.
GasBuddy reports show that regular gas was available at 183 of the 260 reported gas stations in DuPage County.
The average reported price for a gallon of regular gas in Illinois was $2.98, up from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
