Mayor Craig B. Johnson of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, announced a plan to increase village brand awareness to draw in businesses and retain existing businesses at the State of the Village Address on May 7.
The Elk Grove Village Board adopted the village bike plan at its March 24th meeting after gathering public input and recommendations through the bike plan task force, consisting of representatives from Elk Grove Village, Elk Grove Park District and Friends of Cycling in Elk Grove.
The Elk Grove Village Police Department is beefing up traffic enforcement activities through March 22. The activities are tied to the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” enforcement campaigns, as well as St. Patrick's Day on Tuesday.
