The Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal has issued a reminder for residents to adhere to proper safety practices when using grills during the July 4th holiday and throughout the summer. July is noted as the peak month for grill fires, followed by May, June, and August.
Throughout the summer, State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro and her team will be visiting neighborhoods to provide residents with information on how to contact her office. Sanalitro aims to be accessible and improve the quality of life for every community member.

After touring their facility and learning about their business, we presented them with the Employer Training Investment Program grant. The grant was facilitated by the Illinois Manufacturers Association on behalf of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

PARIS – Illinois athletes are set to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Among the participants are Korbin Albert (football, Grayslake), Kamal Bey (wrestling, Oak Park), Kennedy Blades (wrestling, Broadview), Lauren Carlini (volleyball, Aurora), Peter Chatain (rowing, Winnetka), Aaron Cummings (rugby, Chicago), and Anthony Davis (basketball, Chicago). These athletes will represent the United States across various sports including gymnastics, swimming, track and field, and BMX racing.
The Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation is seeking 10 individuals to spotlight each day of the Illinois State Fair as an Illinoisan of the Day. The Illinoisan of the Day program aims to honor individuals who exemplify qualities and characteristics associated with Illinois, such as integrity, dependability, a sense of community, and strong ethics.
Members of State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro’s (R-Hanover Park) team participated in a check presentation for the City of Wood Dale, which has been awarded grant funds for the Addison Road Water Main Replacement Project. This critical infrastructure project, scheduled for Fiscal Year 2025, will enhance the reliability of Wood Dale’s water system, significantly reduce the need for unexpected repairs, and ensure the availability of safe drinking water for all residents.
