The bipartisan efforts of Illinois state Sen. Michael Connelly (R-Wheaton) and state Rep. Greg Harris (D-Chicago) have resulted in the passage of the Right to Try Act that gives terminally ill patients access to clinical trials and experimental medical treatments and medications.
The Government Consolidation and Unfunded Mandates Task Force met April 8 in Wheaton to outline consolidation measures that have been undertaken in DuPage County as part of the Accountability, Consolidation, Transparency (ACT) initiative, state Sen. Michael Connelly (R-Wheaton) said Friday.
Senator's bills will provide the public more time to view county and state budgets.
