A new law sponsored by Sen. Suzy Glowiak (D-24) that was introduced with the purpose of amending the Prevention of Tobacco Use by Minors and Sale and Distribution of Tobacco Products Act went into effect on July 1, according to the official Illinois General Assembly website.
