SPRINGFIELD — Illinois Auditor General Frank Mautino is facing a federal investigation related to campaign finances, according to a statement his spokesman released to several news outlets today.
The Edgar County Watchdogs recently reported that Illinois Auditor General Frank Mautino is being deposed in connection with a complaint filed by David Cook that led to state and federal investigations into Mautino’s campaign spending during his tenure as state representative.
