Jeanne Ives, former House Representative for Illinois, took to Platform X to criticize Tim Mapes, a former aide of former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan, of collecting a sizeable pension despite being convicted of two felonies.
Former Illinois State Rep. Jeanne Ives said people are "tired of talk and they want action" in regards to property taxes. She made the statements on a post on X on September 9.

This comes after the district informed parents that Steve Sabovik, the Director of the Library Media Center at Owen Elementary School, now identifies as “Ms. Madison Sabovik” and wishes to be addressed with female pronouns.
