The Fox Valley Park District was established in 1947 to protect land alongside the Fox River. The second largest park district in Illinois, it serves Aurora, North Aurora, Montgomery and portions of Sugar Grove and includes portions of Kane, DuPage, Kendall and Will counties. \

Voters in the Bartlett Fire Protection District backed a tax increase Tuesday to avoid service cuts while voters in the Fox Valley Park District rejected a request to raise the limiting rate on property taxes to cover district costs.
