Economic Development Update July 30, 2021

As of July 28, 2021, DuPage County’s COVID-19 community transmission is now at Substantial level per Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The recent rise in cases and hospitalizations is likely attributed to the more contagious Delta variant which has now become the more predominant variant across the country. Still, vaccines continue to be the best form of protection against COVID-19, including the Delta variant and help prevent severe illness, hospitalization, and death.

Schaumburg Progress Report for August 20, 2021

To accommodate residents whose regularly scheduled brush pickup had already passed prior to last week’s storms, the Village of Schaumburg's Engineering and Public Works Department has added an additional collection week to its summer brush collection schedule the week of August 23 for the purple and red collection zones.

Economic Development Update September 9, 2021

This morning, two radiant 8 x 10 foot murals by Chicago-based artist, Tony Fitzpatrick, were unveiled in the heart of Glen Ellyn at 427 N. Main Street. The murals are displayed near the new pedway, completed this past spring, which connects pedestrians to downtown businesses, parking and the Metra station.

Schaumburg Progress Report for September 17, 2021

The Village of Schaumburg was honored to receive the Above and Beyond Award from the Illinois Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). The award is presented by ESGR state committees to recognize employers at the local level who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act by providing their Guard and Reserve employees additional, non-mandated benefits.
