Schaumburg Progress Report for August 20, 2021

To accommodate residents whose regularly scheduled brush pickup had already passed prior to last week’s storms, the Village of Schaumburg's Engineering and Public Works Department has added an additional collection week to its summer brush collection schedule the week of August 23 for the purple and red collection zones.

Economic Development Update July 30, 2021

As of July 28, 2021, DuPage County’s COVID-19 community transmission is now at Substantial level per Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The recent rise in cases and hospitalizations is likely attributed to the more contagious Delta variant which has now become the more predominant variant across the country. Still, vaccines continue to be the best form of protection against COVID-19, including the Delta variant and help prevent severe illness, hospitalization, and death.

Ives backs no-tax alternative to Senate 'Grand Bargain'

With the so-called 'Grand Bargain' compromise budget deal expected on the Senate floor next week, an Illinois House representative from Wheaton says it's harder to get people to understand an alternative proposal than it is to get it to the House floor.
