"The VAC of DuPage is a distinct unit of local government created by State Law and funded by DuPage County. The VAC is an annual one-time emergency assistance program designed to help veterans that find themselves in need of financial assistance. The VAC is managed by a Board of Directors who are Veterans representing the various Veteran organizations in DuPage County."\
