Cullerton calls for budget solution as social-service cuts weigh on needy

With more organizations forced to curtail services to senior citizens because of the Illinois state budget impasse, State Sen. Tom Cullerton (D-Dist. 23) recently spent time delivering meals to elderly residents in Glendale Heights as part of a program sponsored by the DuPage Senior Citizens’ Council -- a program, like many, hit by budget cuts.

County Health and Human Services to discuss Ride DuPage services

The DuPage County Board of Health and Human Services is scheduled to meet at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in Room 3500A of Village Hall, 421 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton, to discuss resolutions and agreements related to providing transportation services to eligible county residents through PACE Suburban Bus as part of Ride DuPage.

The DuPage County Environmental Committee will hold its regular meeting at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday in Room 3500A of Wheaton City Hall, 421 N. County Farm Road, during which staff will provide a review briefing on the IEPA E-Waste Program Review Briefing, as well as present the County Trails Annual Report.
