Aurora man denied pre-trial release over attempted murder charges

DuPage County State’s Attorney Bob Berlin and Naperville Chief of Police Jason Arres announced that Judge Joshua Dieden granted the State’s Motion to deny pre-trial release for an Aurora man accused of shooting a woman in a car late last month. Jarvell Rainey, 21, of the 800 block of Oliver Avenue, appeared in First Appearance Court charged with one count of Attempt First-Degree Murder (Class X Felony), one count of Aggravated Battery – Discharge of a Firearm (Class X Felony), and one count of Armed Robbery with a Firearm (Class X Felony).

Two women detained pre-trial for alleged thefts totaling nearly $6K in Oak Brook

Bloomingdale man sentenced for murder of handicapped nephew

DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert B. Berlin announced today that a Bloomingdale man accused of killing his nephew in 2020 has been sentenced to fifty years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
