Downers Grove Public Library

The Downers Grove Public Library serves the municipality's nearly 48,000 residents. In 2011, the library reported a collection of 340,591 books and other historic items and an annual circulation of more than 970,000. The library began as the Ladies Library Association in 1891 and moved to its current location in 1999.
