Following a September Board of Trustees meeting, plans are being made at the College of Du Page to cut tuition by $5 per credit hour and the school’s property tax levy by 5 percent in its 2016 budget.
During the summer the College of DuPage Board of Trustees hired AlixPartners LLP to provide temporary executive and evaluative services to its finance department.
Robert Breuder’s six-year tenure as president of the College of DuPage (COD) ended after its Board of Trustees voted on Tuesday to terminate his employment. His termination was the result of the college finding evidence of misconduct and mismanagement, which Breuder participated in, oversaw or failed to prevent, the board said.
In a continuing effort to slow the increase in college tuition costs, State Sen. Bill Cunningham (D-Dist. 18), chairman of the State Senate Subcommittee on Higher Education Executive Compensation, recently introduced several bills to change how Illinois’ higher education executives are paid.
