A bill introduced by State Rep. Jeanne Ives (R-Dist. 42) to prevent state colleges from approving excessive severance or buyout deals for community college administrators was signed into law this week by Gov. Bruce Rauner.
“I believe the open-meetings act was violated,” Breen said. “The (College of DuPage) board should have told the public what they were doing; there should have been an agenda item that announced there would be a discussion of an employee contract extension.”
The College of DuPage will vote on initiating termination proceedings against President Robert Breuder tomorrow at 5 p.m. in a two-hour executive session.
