The Wheaton Bicycle Advisory Committee Subcommittee of the Environmental Improvement Commission is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today. The meeting will be held at the Wheaton City Hall Building, Conley Room, 303 W. Wesley St. The agenda will consist of approval of minutes, the October Walk/Bike to School Police Bike Project Update, Illinois Prairie Path 2016 and recruiting new committee members.
Wheaton police and fire departments conducted an active-shooter simulation exercise on the campus of Wheaton College on Monday. “This exercise was imperative for Wheaton’s first-responders so we could get hands-on practice in how we would respond to a crisis like an active-shooter situation,” Wheaton Fire Chief Bill Schultz said.
