The city of St. Charles said Tuesday that its water main project on North Fifth Avenue has been delayed due to the scope and complexity of the project, weather delays and unforeseen circumstances. The project had been scheduled to be completed in September; completion now has been pushed back to later this fall.

Peggy Forster, director of information systems for the City of St. Charles, has announced her retirement after working for the city the past 37 years. Forster has served as director since 1997. She began her career as a part-time data-processing consultant in 1978. Forster has led the planning, design and implementation of numerous systems that support city operations, streamline processes and improve customer service.
