Peggy Forster, director of information systems for the City of St. Charles, has announced her retirement after working for the city the past 37 years. Forster has served as director since 1997. She began her career as a part-time data-processing consultant in 1978. Forster has led the planning, design and implementation of numerous systems that support city operations, streamline processes and improve customer service.
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Listening Tour is coming to the City of St. Charles, Illinois, this Friday at 3 p.m., meeting in council chambers at 2 E. Main St.
Motorists in the St. Charles, Illinois, area will notice a full road closure Tuesday, May 5, at the intersection of IL Route 25 and Red Gate Road, beginning at 1 p.m. and lasting approximately 15 to 30 minutes. The road closure is necessary for the connection of the watermain from the east side of the street to the west side of the street, as part of the North Fifth Avenue Watermain Replacement Project.
