The Illinois Wesleyan University women’s golf team concluded its season with a commendable performance at the NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championship. The Titans secured 15th place, finishing with an 11-over par 299 on Friday, May 16, marking their best round of the tournament. Their total score for the 72-hole event was 1222.

Three players from Illinois Wesleyan ranked within the top-100. Senior Jacque O’Neill delivered her career-best round with a one-under 71 and tied for 67th place at 16-over par (304). Freshman Gigi Zera also shared the 67th position, scoring a three-over 75 in her final round to achieve a total of 304 in her debut national tournament.

Senior Macy Ludwig completed her collegiate career with a three-over par final round of 75, bringing her total to 307 over the week (81-75-76-75).

Emory University claimed the team title with a cumulative score of 1168. Carnegie Mellon followed as runner-up at 1181. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (1195), George Fox (1203), and WashU (1206) finished third, fourth, and fifth respectively. Emory’s Carys Code achieved medalist honors by going three-under for the tournament and was among three players who finished par-or-better.

The tournament marked the end of collegiate careers for Macy Ludwig, Jacque O’Neill, Jadyn Spinks, and Claire Ancevicius.
