National rankings for NCAA Division III women’s basketball continue to feature two College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) teams. Illinois Wesleyan and Carroll University both appeared in the latest D3hoops.com and WBCA Coaches’ Polls this week.

Illinois Wesleyan, with a 12-4 overall record and undefeated at 7-0 in CCIW play, moved up three places to No. 13 in the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll. The Titans also advanced from No. 18 to a tie for No. 15 in the WBCA Coaches’ Poll after a strong week that included a decisive win over Millikin and a comeback victory against Wheaton. Seniors Ava Bardic and Sawyer White led the team in scoring against Wheaton, contributing 26 and 25 points respectively.

Carroll University maintained its position nationally after two road wins, holding at No. 20 in the D3hoops.com poll and ranking No. 24 in the WBCA Coaches’ Poll. The Pioneers improved their conference record to 6-1 with victories over North Central—where Julia Lokker scored 26 points—and Augustana, where Emilie Wizner added 23 points and Natalie Gricius secured the win with late free throws.

Both teams are scheduled to resume conference play on Wednesday: Illinois Wesleyan will travel to Carthage, while Carroll hosts North Park at Van Male Fieldhouse.
