Illinois SB1407 passed the state Senate on May 23.

The bill, as it was introduced in the Senate by Sen. Michael E. Hastings (D-19) on Feb. 13, will create the Illinois Hazardous Materials Workforce Training Act, according to the General Assembly website.

The measure now must be considered by the House.
