Noah Cleveland of Illinois Wesleyan and Kolden Vanlandingham of North Park have been named Men’s Basketball Co-Student-Athletes of the Week by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW).
Cleveland led Illinois Wesleyan to a 78-76 comeback win over No. 4 WashU last Thursday, scoring a career-high 36 points. He shot 65 percent from the field and made two three-pointers. His performance was the highest single-game scoring effort for an Illinois Wesleyan player since 2015 and only the second time this season a Titan has scored at least 30 points. Cleveland also recorded his sixth double-double of the year with 12 rebounds, playing 38 minutes and adding one block and one assist.
Vanlandingham became just the fourth player in North Park men’s basketball history to record a triple-double during their 108-86 victory over Cornell last Thursday. He finished with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. This achievement marks only the eighth triple-double on record for a CCIW player and is the first since 2021.
Throughout North Park’s three games last week, Vanlandingham contributed consistently, including scoring 17 points on seven-of-eight shooting in a win over Greenville. Over those three games, he averaged more than ten points per game along with nearly seven rebounds and assists per contest while also recording five steals.
The CCIW continues to recognize standout performances each week as part of its ongoing awards for student-athletes during the men’s basketball season.
