1. Call to Order

Chair Jensen called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.

2. Roll Call

Present: Jensen, Veremis, Nardini

Absent: None

Staff Present: Franz, Gal, Grabowski (part), Johnson

Elected Officials: Alderman Virgil, Alderman Bastedo (part)

Three items were added to Board docs.

5. Before the Committee

A. Development, Planning & Zoning Committee Meeting Minutes May 27, 2025

Alderman Nardini made a motion to approve the minutes of the DP&Z Committee on May 27, 2025.  Alderman Veremis seconded. Voice Vote. Motion passed.

B. Homes for a Changing Region Kick-Off

Ben Schnelle (Metropolitan Mayor’s Caucus) provided an overview of the Homes for a Changing Region project and facilitated a discussion on housing in Elmhurst. Additional guest speakers from the Homes for a Changing Region Team included Nancy Firfer, King Harris, Robin Snyderman, and Inoa Batista. Advisors to the DPZ Committee in attendance provided input on housing and demographic changes in Elmhurst based on data presented by the Team. Advisors in attendance included Susan Rose, Cathy Jordan, Rich Reichert, Marti Deuter, and Bob Dunn.

Alderman Nardini made a motion to adjourn at 9:10 p.m. Alderman seconded. Voice Vote. Motion passed. Voice Vote.
