Itasca Park District recently celebrated the grand reopening of Benson Park. The renovated park now includes a new picnic pavilion, two soccer fields, tennis and pickleball courts, a sand volleyball court, and upgraded playground features that are inclusive, such as a wheelchair-accessible swing.

The project was made possible by a $400,000 OSLAD grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Local leaders contributed to the completion of this $900,000 project. The park is intended to be a space for families to enjoy in the future.

“Proud to support strong, family-focused investments right here in our backyard!”
