The United Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced that Charlotte Frere from Augustana is the Division III National Women’s Athlete of the Week. This recognition follows her performance at the Augustana Midwest National Twilight meet, where she achieved a career-best throw in the discus.

Frere’s throw reached 53.10 meters, marking it as the third-best distance in Division III history. She is currently the defending national champion in this event and maintains her position as the nation’s top seed.

Charlotte Frere will compete again on Thursday at the NCAA National Championships in Geneva, Ohio, where she aims to defend her title in discus.
