2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Roselle?
There were six offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in Roselle zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.
The data shows that all of the released offenders in Roselle were men. The median age of the parolees was 32. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 45-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Paul Ramos. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015 when he was 27 years old. He is now 31.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
