CAROL STREAM, IL – State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) has successfully championed the passage of HB4966 through the Illinois House of Representatives. The bill aims to expand the options available for specialty license plates for motorcyclists in Illinois.

According to Rep. Sanalitro, "Right now motorcyclists are limited to a small selection of specialty plates – despite there being 50+ different options for regular cars." The current system only offers a limited number of choices for motorcyclists, with a total of 68 options available for regular cars listed on the Secretary of State's website.

With the passing of HB4966, State Representative Sanalitro highlights that "This bill would treat motorcyclists like others drivers and allow them to show their support to various causes through the Secretary of State’s specialty plate program!" The legislation is aimed at granting motorcyclists the same opportunities as other drivers to display their affiliations and interests through specialty license plates.

Rep. Sanalitro's dedication to advocating for Chicagoland and Illinois motorcyclists is evident as she continues to use her position to amplify their voices. As the State Representative for House District 48, which includes various communities in suburban DuPage and Cook counties, Sanalitro remains committed to representing the interests of motorcyclists in the region.

Overall, with the passage of HB4966, Rep. Sanalitro emerges as a strong advocate for motorcyclists in Chicagoland, working towards providing them with a broader range of options to express their identities and support various causes through specialty license plates.
