Scott Gryder, Republican US House candidate of Illinois’ 14th Congressional District taking place in November, has a strong history of both political and public service leadership, is committed to serving others, and is prepared to find solutions to today's issues.

With a strong history of leadership in Kendall County and beyond, Gryder has been elected three times to Kendall County Board in representation of District 2, according to his campaign page. He currently serves as Chairman of the board and is a member of the Illinois GOP executive Committee. Gryder is also the current President of Commercial Services and Senior Counsel at Near North Title Group.

Gryder's priorities span the breadth of what he believes to be the most important issues today. This includes public safety and second amendment rights, education and workforce investment, healthcare and mental health, wasteful government spending, job creation and small business support, to name a few.

"My top priorities include addressing the skyrocketing cost of living and the high toll rampant inflation is taking on household budgets, keeping our communities safe and cutting spending & lowering taxes!" Gryder said on Twitter.

Gryder has received endorsements and support from a number of successful political leaders, such as former Congressman Hon. Randy Hultgren, former Illinois Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti and Illinois State Representatives Mark Batinick and David Welter. He is also proudly endorsed by the Chicago Tribune and the Daily Herald.

He believes "Lauren Underwood, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden are driving our country and our state into the ground with their out-of-touch agenda," as stated in a press release on his site. Underwood and Biden's "radical, high-tax agenda ahead of the hardworking people of Illinois. Every piece of bad legislation that Lauren Underwood has voted for, Joe Biden has signed into law, and the government has benefited while leaving hardworking Illinoisans left to pick up the pieces of their failed policies," he adds.

Gryder's education started in his hometown of Plano, Illinois where he graduated from Plano High School. He then went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Illinois-Springfield, a Juris Doctor from DePaul College of Law and a Public Affairs Certificate in Illinois County Government from the Leadership Academy at the University of Illinois Institute of Government & Public Affairs.

Illinois' 14th Congressional District election will take place on November 8, 2022, according to Ballotpedia. Gryder is the Republican candidate and is up against Democrat Lauren Underwood and Independent Barry Wilson.
