Q2 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in DuPage County?

There were 82 offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2020 that live in DuPage County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.

The data shows that 73 men and nine women were released in DuPage County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 37. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2020, and the oldest was a 69-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Glen Williams. He was convicted of homicide in 1998 when he was 27 years old. He is now 50.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2020 in each DuPage County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
