8. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS

a) SECOND READING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF THE VILLAGE CODE REGARDING FEES FOR FINGERPRINTING AND AUDIO/VIDEO RECORDS

At their meeting on July 6th, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance, which amends Chapter 14 of the Village Code regarding fees for fingerprinting and audio/video records. The Committee recommended approval and first reading was given at the July 6th Village Board meeting. Second reading is requested.

b) SECOND READING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN

PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 14 OF THE VILLAGE CODE WITH RESPECT TO APPOINTMENTS, PROMOTION, DEMOTION, AND DISMISSAL OF POLICE OFFICERS

At their meeting on July 6th, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance, which amends certain provisions of Chapter 14 of the Village Code with respect to appointments, promotion, demotion, and dismissal of Police Officers. The Committee recommended approval and first reading was given at the July 6th Village Board meeting. Second reading is requested.

c) SECOND READING OF AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATION FOR CORPORATE PURPOSES FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING THE 1ST DAY OF MAY, 2020 AND ENDING THE 30TH DAY OF APRIL, 2021 FOR THE VILLAGE OF ADDISON, DUPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS

At their meeting on July 13th, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance, which makes Appropriation for Corporate Purposes for the current Fiscal Year commencing the 1st day of May, 2020 and ending the 30th day of April, 2021 for the Village of Addison, DuPage County, Illinois. The Committee recommended approval and first reading was given at the July 13th Special Village Board meeting. Second reading is requested.

d) FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 OF THE VILLAGE CODE TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF CLASS “DC” LIQUOR LICENSES FOR CHIC CHEF CATERING LOCATED AT 401 S. IRMEN, UNIT D

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance, which amends Chapter 3 of the Village Code to increase the number of Class “DC” Liquor Licenses for Chic Chef Catering located at 401 S. Irmen, Unit D. The Committee recommended approval and first reading is requested.

e) FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 OF THE VILLAGE CODE TO DECREASE THE NUMBER OF CLASS “E” LIQUOR LICENSES DUE TO THE CLOSING OF ILLINOIS CAFÉ & SERVICE COMPANY LLC D/B/A DOTTY’S

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance, which amends Chapter 3 of the Village Code to decrease the number of Class “E” liquor licenses due to the closing of Illinois Café & Service Company LLC d/b/a Dotty’s. The Committee recommended approval and first reading is requested.

f) FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 10 OF THE VILLAGE CODE REGARDING BUSINESS LICENSE FEES

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance, which amends certain provisions of Chapter 10 of the Village Code regarding business license fees. The Committee recommended approval and first reading is requested.

g) FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS EQUIPMENT OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF ADDISON

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Ordinance, which authorizes the sale of surplus equipment owned by the Village of Addison. The Committee recommended approval and first reading is requested.

h) CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPENSATION SYSTEM FOR THE VILLAGE OF ADDISON EMPLOYEES

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Resolution, which amends the compensation system for certain Village of Addison employees. The Committee recommended approval and the Attorney is asked to read the Resolution.

i) CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF ADDISON AND THE COUNTY OF DUPAGE FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE DUPAGE COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT COVID-19 REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Resolution, which approves an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Village of Addison and the County of DuPage for participation in the DuPage County local government COVID-19 Reimbursement Program. The Committee recommended approval and the Attorney is asked to read the Resolution.

j) CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING A POLICE DEPARTMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF ADDISON AND SOO LINE RAILROAD COMPANY D/B/A CANADIAN PACIFIC

At their meeting earlier this evening, the Finance & Policy Committee reviewed this Resolution, which approves a Police Department Services Agreement between the Village of Addison and Soo Line Railroad Company d/b/a Canadian Pacific. The Committee recommended approval and the Attorney is asked to read the Resolution.
