Analysis: Oakbrook Terrace pays $2.10 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Oakbrook Terrace Fire Protection District

Taxpayers contributed 68.7 percent of the $117,161 the Oakbrook Terrace Fire Protection District brought in 2018, or $2.10 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Oakbrook Terrace contributed $80,488 to the fund, which saw a $11,008 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $38,227, or 32.6 percent, in 2018.
